With the changes in the international trade market, dry bulk maritime transport has developed in two ways: first, containerized transport; and secondly, the past large-volume baggage and parcel transportation into dry bulk shipping. Taking Zhanjiang Port Group as an example, the cargo throughput in 2009 was 64.27 million tons, of which dry bulk accounted for 38.51 million tons and oil products exceeded 20 million tons.
