1997年10月《当代中国志坛诸老纪念文集》出版,书中收入了老一辈无产阶级革命家、第一届中国地方志指导小组组长曾三和副组长梁寒冰,指导小组成员董一博、朱士嘉、李志敏、牙含章、陈元方七位当代中国志坛的老领导的纪念文章52篇和生平简介,照片10幅,题词五幅,全书36万字.七位志坛耆英已于1987-1990年先后去世.但他们为当代中国社会主义新方志事业的开创奠基作出了重大贡献,特别是他们“鞠躬尽瘁,死而后已”的精神永远激励着人们,尤其是带动全国方志界的同志们奋力拼搏,发展了方志事业.编辑这本《纪念文集》,就是为了尊重前辈,尊重历史,尊重事业.在全国第一届新方志编纂工作即将胜利完成,第二届中国地方志指导小组李铁映组长提出第一届志书完成之日,就是第二届志书开始之时,在这一战略决策的新形势下,出版这本书,有利于方志界全体同志学习发扬曾三、梁寒冰、董一博等诸老矢志不渝的革命精神,学习研究他们开创的新方志编纂经验和方志学理论,完成他们未竟的事业,圆满结束第一届新方志编纂任务,高水平地开展新方志的续修工作.
