江泽民总书记多次指出:“领导干部一定要讲政治。”结合国内贸易工作的实际,内贸部党组提出了“急中央之所急,想老百姓之所想”的指导思想,以此作为商品流通工作的出发点和落脚点,作为内贸部门领导干部“讲政治”的具体体现。领导干部讲政治,首先要讲党的基本理论、基本路线和基本方针。讲政治绝不是要忽视经济,而是要围绕经济建设这个中心,在四项基本原则指导下,更坚定地进行改革开放。

In no way should politics be overlooked in economics. Instead, we should focus on the center of economic construction and carry out reforms and opening up more firmly under the guidance of the four basic principles.
