In the early 1970s, Combes first reported an HBsAg positive patient due to blood transfusion. The patient developed massive proteinuria after 22 months and was diagnosed as membranous nephropathy after renal biopsy. Until now, medical researchers around the world have detected the hepatitis B virus (HBV) antigen in kidney tissue of 500 patients with nephritis. near
