认识张威铭先生,首先是认识他的作品。在一本刚出版的《湖北民间工艺精品》中,四幅透雕作品,格外引人注目:3幅人物头像,传统的、少数民族的、现代城市女性的,抽象的简约与具象的写实结合得是那么和谐;另一幅挂盘人物造型,舞动的少女,飘舞的彩带,把敦煌的“飞天”律动的展现在我的面前。我想,这应该是一位具有强烈现代意识和高超技艺的民间工艺家,于是在作者介绍中,我终于看到了一段这样的文字:“……联合国教科文组织曾授予中国民间工艺美术家”。而他的正式职称:武汉科教仪器厂高级工程师。来到这位透雕大师家,出现在我面前的张威铭,与我想象的相差太远:身材高大,衣着平常,没有时下流行的奇异妆饰,如在街上碰到,只是一位非常平凡的老人。正如他的名片上所书:“大张美术爱好者”。问起为何叫大
