本文基于Halliday的语域理论,对比商务信函与商务电子邮件中模糊限制语的使用情况,考察电子商务语篇中的模糊化修辞趋向。商务电子邮件中的模糊限制语的使用数量和种类均明显多于传统商务信函,并具有包装功能、缺省信息填补功能、免责功能等本体特征。商务英语写作教学可引导学生合理使用模糊化修辞的本体功能提高电子商务沟通的效率。
Based on Halliday’s register theory, this article compares the use of hedges in business correspondence and business e-mail, and explores the tendency of fuzzification rhetoric in e-business discourse. The number and types of hedges used in business e-mails are significantly more than those of traditional business correspondences, and have ontology features such as packaging functions, default information filling functions and exemption functions. Teaching of business English writing can guide students to use the ontology function of fuzzily rhetoric to improve the efficiency of e - commerce communication.
