通过模拟计算研究了二维三角形光子晶体波导自成像多模干涉的耦合特性,提出了一种二维光子晶体1×2分束器。基于自成像多模干涉效应,用有限时域差分法对这种分束器的特性进行了数值计算和分析。研究发现,这种分束器的透射率可高达96%,造成这种现象的物理原因是多模干涉区的自成像效应,这种多模干涉在光子晶体光学集成电路中具有重大的潜在应用价值。
The coupling characteristics of self-imaging multimode interference of two-dimensional triangular photonic crystal waveguides have been studied by simulation, and a two-dimensional photonic crystal 1 × 2 beamsplitter has been proposed. Based on the self-imaging multimode interference effect, the characteristics of this beamsplitter are numerically calculated and analyzed by finite difference time-domain method. The study found that the beam splitter can transmit up to 96%. The physical reason for this phenomenon is the self-imaging effect of multi-mode interference region. This multimode interference has great potential applications in photonic crystal optical integrated circuits value.
