在现代汉语中,“老”字应用广泛,除了其最基本生理特征(年龄较大、头发花白)之外,时代的发展逐渐赋予“老”字新的内涵,使其具有极强的能产行特征。本文首先将介绍“老”字起初的基本意义,然后再从语用角度,谈谈“老”字不“老”的多种用法,进而发现其不同妙用对言语交际产生的语用意义,以便更好理解日常言语交际中层出不穷的话语形式。
