档案无处不在,无时不有,时时都在产生。档案伴随文字出现而产生,档案的发展可谓源远流长,但档案学真正作为独立学科而出现却是不足百年,造成档案学科的许多理论基础还还很薄弱,需要不断的创新、更新和完善。随着社会的进步和学术环境的变化,跨学科研究在国内外档案学中已经悄然兴起,学科间的互动与交流能为本学科在研究方法、研究角度等方面提供新颖途径,甚至是捷径,所以跨学科研究对于档案学的发展来说是必要的也是必然的。
