新媒体时代的包装艺术设计是随着数字技术与艺术相结合而产生的。新媒体的诞生使包装设计的形式与内涵得到重大转变与发展。我们在生活中看到的与新媒体结合的包装设计作品更有生气、更新颖、外形更新异、色彩更醒目。同时,数字时代的包装设计不应只局限于包装华美的外观,只侧重于视觉上的引人注意、备受瞩目。正确的包装设计走向应是侧重于表现商品的内涵,并兼顾外观,二者都达到新时代发展的需要。新媒体时代为包装设计的发展奠定了技术上卓越的支持,开拓了更宽广的发展空间。
