铁岭市郊龙山公社的2万亩菜田实现了林网化。网眼规格为300×400米,树种是北京杨和垂柳,林带为二行,株行距1.5×1.5米或1.5×2.0米。菜田林网能降低风速,防风固沙。园艺大队八队,有1,200亩地处于柴河两岸,风沙严重,营造菜田林网前,春播很难保全苗,亩产仅八、九千斤。林网建成后,减轻了风沙危害,基本实现一次播种保全苗,无霜期延长了5～7天,蔬菜亩产量比无林网菜地高76％。
