出身回回民族的南开大学史学大师杨志玖先生遽尔归真,先知穆罕默德说:“学者的逝世是世界的不幸 ”此实为我国史学界和回族伊斯兰研究方面的极大的损失 先生之道德文章素为我辈后学所尊仰,本刊创刊伊始,主编杨怀中同志亲赴南开大学拜访杨先生,恳请杨先生撰写《元代回族史稿》,先生欣然允诺 本刊从1991年??期开始连续登载先生大文前后刊出!篇 先生每篇文章发表后即在学术界引起很大反响 其功力深厚,行文严谨,又考证史实,坚不可摧,有益当代,惠泽后世 先生去矣,而《元代回族史稿》已由南开大学出版社出版,捧读尊著,感慨多端,这是先生终生治学于晚年献给母族的一份珍贵的厚礼 先生的史学文集《陋室文存》亦由中华书局出版 前辈懿范,世不忘也 青嶂远矣,白云深矣,翘首瞻望,不可及矣 今人天相隔,我们沐浴肃立为先生悼念
