淡水鲨鱼学名为苏氏圆腹鱼芒[Pangasiui Sutchi(Fowier)],隶属于鲶形目,鱼芒科,圆腹鱼芒属,主要分布于东南亚一带。1978年由泰藉华人蔡友光先生将全长为3cm左右的4000尾鱼苗赠送给中国水产科学研究院珠江水产研究所。运抵目的地后存活2200尾。此后我国又先后引进体色为红白相间
