中国农学会的前身是中华农学会,成立到现在已经七十年了。刚成立时我还在美国读书,我于1920年秋回国,先在南通大学农科教书。我于1922年春到南京东南大学农科任教授兼棉作技师时,才知道有一个中华农学会,会址在南京鼓楼附近,我那时就成为该会会员,到现在已经有六十四年了。我还记得当时的中华农学会理事长是许璇先生
China Agronomy was the predecessor of the Chinese Agricultural Association, which has been established for 70 years now. When I was just founded, I was still studying in the United States. I returned to China in the autumn of 1920 and first taught teaching in agriculture at Nantong University. When I was a professor and cotton technician of the Agricultural Department of Southeast University in Nanjing in the spring of 1922, I learned that there was a Chinese Agricultural Association sitting near the Drum Tower in Nanjing.
