五四运动是中国人民吃尽了西方富强、中土贫弱与西方文化先进、中国文化陈腐的双重苦楚之后发出的怒吼 ,它将民主与科学构成富国图强的必由之路 ,同反帝反封结合在一起 ,为爱国主义和反帝反封斗争作了新的时代奠基。新时期纪念五四、发扬其爱国主义精神有着不同于以往的新内涵 ,其中特别是标志广义五四运动的民主与科学应引起人们的足够重视。近代史以其铁律证明 ,国家要富强 ,只有依靠民主与科学的治理。
The May 4th Movement was a roar issued by the Chinese people after trying their best to make the rich and powerful in the West, poor in the Middle Ats and the advanced Western culture, and the double bitterness of the Chinese culture. It incorporated the necessary route by which democracy and science constituted the rich country and the strong anti-government. Together laid the foundation for a new era for the struggle against patriotism and anti-imperialism. The commemoration of the May 4th Movement in the new period and the development of its patriotic spirit have new connotations different from those in the past. In particular, democratization and science that mark the May Fourth Movement of the broad masses should draw enough attention. Modern history, with its iron law, proves that the country needs prosperity and strength and relies on the governance of democracy and science.
