当前,在市场经济的冲击下,各美术馆面临着诸多的困难与挑战,面对困难与挑战,烟台美术博物馆清醒地认识到:困难与希望、挑战与机遇总是互生并存的,要生存,要发展,唯有开拓创新才是生存发展之道。为了把我馆建成烟台市对外文化、艺术交流的前沿窗口、促进烟台美术事业的发展,我们始终以“繁荣艺术,服务社会”为宗旨,坚持“开拓求生存,创新求发展”的发展方向,以“树立美博形象,创造发展机遇”为根本,重点在展览、收藏、理论研究和发展文化产业上,加大工作力度,强化了美术博物馆的职能。
