文章认为，我国东部与西部、沿海与内地经济发展的差距之所以拉大，重要原因之一就在于对外开放的程度不同。内陆省区要加速改革进程，缩小与沿海地区经济发展的差距，仅靠内陆丰富的自然资源不足以抵消远离口岸的空间障碍。为此，文章提出了＂以市场换技术，以效率缩空间＂的内陆省区对外开放的新路子。
The article holds that one of the important reasons for the widening gap between the economic development in the east and west of our country and between the coast and the hinterland lies in the different degrees of opening to the outside world. The inland provinces and autonomous regions should speed up the reform process and narrow the gap with their economic development in the coastal areas. The inland natural resources alone can not offset the spatial obstacles far away from the ports of entry. Therefore, the article puts forward a new way of opening up the inland provinces and autonomous regions “market-oriented technology and efficiency-efficient space”.
