1958年12月1日至3日,中国科学院原子核委員会同位素应用委員会在北京召开了放射性同位素应用于技术科学方面的会议。会议交流了工作經驗,讨论制定了1959年在冶金、机械、化工和紡织等方面的試点工作計划,对保証完成试点計划中的有关重大措施进行了讨论和协商。参加这次会议的有中国科学院、第一机械工业部、冶金工业部、化学工业部、石油工业部、紡織工業部、水利电力部等十七个單位,五十余人。在会议期间还邀请了苏联和平利用原子能展覽会代表团团長及团員等三人与到会者进行了座談。会议由严济慈副主任委员主持、他指出:放射性
December 1, 1958 to December 3, the Nuclear Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Isotope Applications convened in Beijing, the application of radioisotopes for technical science. The meeting exchanged work experience, discussed and formulated the pilot work plan for metallurgy, machinery, chemical industry and textile in 1959, and discussed and negotiated the promulgation of major measures in the completion of the pilot project. Attended the meeting are CASS, the first Ministry of Machinery Industry, Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, Ministry of Chemical Industry, Ministry of Oil Industry, Ministry of Textile Industry, Ministry of Water Resources and other 17 units, more than 50 people.
