According to the urgent need of the country and the metallogenic conditions in northwestern China, a Geological Information Exchange Meeting was held in Xining, Qinghai Province from June 26 to June 29, 1989. Geological information exchange meeting of Northwest Branch of Geological and Mineral Information Network of Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources was held. Participants at the meeting were representatives of 40 representatives from the Geological and Mineral Resources Research Institute of Xi’an Geological Institute and Xi’an Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources of the five provinces in Northwest China. The meeting received 23 copies of the information. Zhang Venus, chief engineer of the organizer (Qinghai Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources), attended the meeting and made a speech.
