The penetration efficiency of a hollow charge jet is expressed as a fraction of the jet microjets. The advantage of this formula is that it is possible to simulate the effect of the jet / target plate interaction separately for each jet element. The simulation is done using a phenomenological interaction model, which is not fully understood in terms of the details of the interaction, and is represented by a defined approximate fuzzy model function.
