甲基乙烯基醚(MEV)在国外已大量生产。用作许多共聚物的单体,可以有效的改善聚合物的某些性能:如粘着性、柔性、亲水性、塑性等。它的衍生物在制药、皮革及缓蚀剂等方面也广泛应用。特别值得注意的是:它与醇或硫醇反应生成缩醛:CH_3OCH(OR)—CH_3当控制反应条件并排除湿气时,氯或溴剧烈的与MEV发生加成,生成α,β-二卤乙基甲醚,后者水解产生相应的卤代醛:
Methyl vinyl ether (MEV) has been mass produced abroad. Used as a copolymer of many monomers, can effectively improve certain properties of the polymer: such as adhesion, flexibility, hydrophilicity, plasticity and so on. Its derivatives are widely used in pharmaceuticals, leather and corrosion inhibitors. Of particular note is that it reacts with an alcohol or a thiol to form an acetal: CH_3OCH (OR) -CH_3 When the reaction conditions are controlled and moisture is removed, vigorous addition of chlorine or bromine to the MEV results in the formation of α, β-dihalide Ethyl methyl ether, the latter hydrolyzed to give the corresponding haloaldehyde:
