1912年,世界上第一个青年旅馆在德国一个废弃古堡中诞生,并奠定了青年旅舍的基本结构,以“安全、经济、卫生、隐私”为特点,受到了青年人的广泛欢迎。仅一年后,青年旅馆即达到83家,共2.1万个床位。到1997年,国际青年旅馆联盟在全球共有65个成员国,共有青年旅馆4500家,床位数达到3282万个,有国际会员350万人。今天,青年旅馆已成为当今世界上最大的住宿连锁组织,世界上有1000万青年旅游者在使用青年旅馆。 现在世界青年旅舍已经遍布各个国际旅游区的中心地带,而今天旅馆的客人则大多是三十岁左右的或是全家开车出行或是独自出游的背包一族。
In 1912, the world’s first youth hostel was born in an abandoned castle in Germany and laid down the basic structure of a youth hostel. It has been widely welcomed by young people with the characteristics of “safety, economy, hygiene and privacy”. Only a year later, the Youth Hostel reached 83, a total of 21,000 beds. By 1997, the International Youth Hostel Federation had a total of 65 member countries in the world with a total of 4,500 youth hostels, with 32.82 million beds and 3.5 million international members. Today, youth hostels have become the largest lodging chain in the world today, with over 10 million young travelers using youth hostels around the world. Now the world youth hostels have been in the center of various international tourist areas, and today the hotel’s guests are mostly about 30-year-old family or traveling alone or traveling backpacker.
