高性能计算能力是国家科研实力的重要标志之一,是国家综合国力和信息化建设水平的重要体现。当前,E级计算(每秒百亿亿次浮点运算)是国际高性能计算领域的制高点和研究热点。国际高性能计算机的研发能力已达到100P级(每秒十亿亿次浮点运算),预计到2020年前后将发展到E级。但是,由于面临器件工艺水平、通信能力、功耗控制、可靠性以及编程模型等诸多约束,现有的100P级技术并不能平滑过渡到E级,必须研发颠覆性技术才能支撑未来E级计算机的构建。
High-performance computing capability is one of the important symbols of national scientific research strength and an important manifestation of the comprehensive national strength and informatization construction level of the country. Currently, E-class computing (hundreds of billions of floating-point operations per second) is the commanding heights and research hot spots in the field of high-performance computing in the world. The international R & D capability of high-performance computers has reached 100P level (tens of billions of floating-point operations per second) and is expected to reach E level by 2020. However, existing 100P technology does not allow for a smooth transition to E-class due to many constraints such as device technology, communications capabilities, power control, reliability, and programming models, and disruptive technologies must be developed to support future E-Class computers Construct.
