Two oil-gas bearing systems in the Taricuo deep depression is discussed: a major oil-gas bearing system and an oil-gas bearing subsystem. Both have rather favourable source, reservoir and cover conditions. For the major oil-gas bearing system the hydrocarbon-generating threshold depth is 3000-4200 m, the temperatures for the hydrocarbon-generating window is 100°-140℃, and the key moment of generating hydrocarbon is 54 Ma ago. Although owing to complicated strUctUres, the Taricuo basin might be lack of preservation conditions necessary for forming large-scale oil-gas pools, Cenozoic covering areas will have broad oil-gas prospects.
