Ammi majus is an annual herbaceous plant of the Umbelliferae family. It is 1 meter high. The current status of the three species is compound and leaves are alternate. The umbellate is in the shape of a top or axillary, the flower is white, and the fruit is oval and ribbed, about 2 mm long. Originated from the temperate and subtropical regions of Eurasia and northeastern Africa, it was born on a deserted land. The plant is often cultivated as a medicinal or cut flower plant. In the private sector, Amami is a traditional herb for the treatment of angina and asthma, and is also used as a wind-repellent, diuretic, appetizing, and tonic.
