Natural killer (NK) cells are a heterogeneous group of lymphocytes that have drawn great attention due to their important role in immune surveillance. It may be involved in the body’s first line of defense against tumor growth and viral infection. Many patients with malignant tumors found that the activity of NK in peripheral blood is low, and with tumor progression and metastasis. However, changes in NK activity of patients with viral infection is still small, the results are inconsistent. This article observed the activity of NK cells in peripheral blood of patients with severe hepatitis, acute hepatitis, chronic hepatitis B, HBsAg carriers, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma and analyzed the difference of NK activity among patients with different liver diseases
