安康城堤在“83.7”特大洪水毁坏之后,中央拨专款进行了重建和加固,现在已竣工验收,对安康县城人民生命财产有了可靠的保障。安康县委、县政府为了加强对城堤河道的管理,确保防汛设施的完好和城区渡汛安全,突出狠抓了“三落实”:(1) 组织人员机构落实。安康县在1986年6月专门成立了安康县市政管理局,将原城建系统的市政工程管理处划归县市政管理局领导,1987年元月经行署批准,设立了安康县公安局城堤派出所,专门负责维护社会治安秩序和城堤设施的安全,同年十月又设立了城堤河道管理处,专门负责工程的管理维护、岁修等,把城堤和河道纳入统一管理。
