1987年,连云港市考古人员在文物普查中发现了位于该市连岛镇东连岛村灯塔山羊窝头北侧海边的一块隶书刻石(以下简称羊窝头刻石)。经连云港市文管会办公室、博物馆现场辨认,认为是西汉时期东海郡与琅邪郡的界域刻石。1998年底,《连云港日报》记者经群众指点,在东连岛村苏马湾海边又发现了另一块刻石(以下简称苏马湾刻石)。市文管办、博物馆人员经过多次考释辨认,确定为有确切纪年的新莽时期东海郡琅邪郡界域刻石。
In 1987, archaeologists in Lianyungang discovered a clerical script stone (hereinafter referred to as “sheep’s nest stone”) located in the northern side of the sea of the lighthouse goat’s head in Liandao Town, Liandao Town, in the census of cultural relics.
