From late 1993 to early 1994, as a visiting scholar at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, I conducted a one-year academic exchange in Mexico. It has been more than a year since I returned from Mexico. The faces of people with varied black and eyed, black hairs who are thriving on arid lands are still vivid. Especially the stormy journey on that land, Fiery feelings always urge me to tell what I saw and heard to our people. Because too much attention and interest in wealthy countries can not provide us with a broad and genuine vision of indifference and estrangement to poor countries. I always hope that the pulsations in those remote corners will continue to follow the Chinese heartbeat.
