Since Foley has demonstrated tumor-specific transplantation antigens in experimental animals of purebred animals, many scholars have conducted extensive research on the existence of tumor antigens in human malignancies. Much research has been done on leukemia antigens. It has been initially confirmed that leukemia associated antigens (LAA) exist on leukemia cells.
