英语时态按照动词屈折形式分为过去时和现在时。英语一般现在时常表达现在的状态,习惯以及现在时刻的瞬时动作,这是其语义范畴结构的典型成员。一般现在时也可表示将来情况,这种将来情况常常包含了“现在”的含义,即从最大视觉框架来观察动词表达的动作或状态。一般现在时表示将来是其范畴中的非典型成员。一般现在时表示将来相对于将来时而言具有更大确定性和更高的事实度。
