The Gansu Montenegro copper-nickel deposit, located in the North Mountain fold belt of the Central Asian orogenic belt, was the first copper-nickel sulfide deposit confirmed to be formed during the subduction of the oceanic crust (Xie et al., 2012). According to the domestic standard, the reserves of Ni in the Montenegro copper-nickel-sulphide deposit reach a large size with small Cu reserves. The average grade is Ni 0.6% and Cu 0.27%, of which No. 1 and No. 4 ore bodies are the largest.
