Many scientists have studied the use of high-power CO 2 lasers in new fields. The authors developed a new ceramic coating technique that uses high-power lasers. The Al 2 O 3, 3Al 2 O 3 .2SiO 2, SiAlON, Si_3N_4 and BN ceramic films coated by this method are not only robust but also uniform. Film bonding strength is very high. This high-power laser coating technology can be used to make high-quality heat-resistant, wear-resistant parts.
