隐喻是英语中常见的一种修辞格,隐喻能使学生用一种概念来领会另一概念。在英语教学中,通过对英汉隐喻的对比分析,让学生认识隐喻的文化差异性;通过对一词多义的认知分析,让学生认识隐喻的普遍存在性;通过对文章中的隐喻认知分析,让学生认识隐喻的系统性等都是提高学生隐喻语言能力的策略。
Metaphor is a common rhetorical device in English. Metaphor enables students to grasp one concept from another. In English teaching, through comparative analysis of English and Chinese metaphors, students can understand the cultural differences of metaphor; Students can understand the ubiquity of metaphor through the cognitive analysis of polysemy; Through the cognition of the metaphor in the article, Analysis, to enable students to understand the systematic metaphor are all strategies to improve students’ metaphorical language ability.
