20世纪80年代以来,新经济的高速发展及全球化使得所有崛起中的特大城市地区在产业升级、城市发展等方面面临着共同的机遇和挑战。跨国公司及生产者服务业不仅成为经济与城市发展的主导,也使得部分城市有能力成为全球体系中的节点。针对这些现象,以世界城市为代表的新的概念框架应运而生。在世界城市的崛起中,生产性服务业、高新技术产业等起到了巨大作用并因此广受重视。那么在此背景下,世界城市是否还需要传统的制造业?当前这类制造业在城市发展中应起到什么作用?与上述疑问相对应的是,北京作为中国的首都,一个浮现中的世界城市,在凸显高端服务职能的总体目标之下,对于制造业发展的反思
Since the 1980s, the rapid development of the new economy and its globalization have brought all the mega-cities in the rise to face common opportunities and challenges in industrial upgrading and urban development. Transnational corporations and producer services not only become the dominant economic and urban development, but also enable some cities to become nodes in the global system. In response to these phenomena, a new conceptual framework represented by the world city came into being. In the rise of the world’s cities, productive services, high-tech industries, etc. have played a huge role and have therefore drawn the attention. So in this context, the world’s cities still need the traditional manufacturing industry? What kind of manufacturing industry in the current urban development should play a role?
