中国的雕版印书始于初唐,成于五代,盛于两宋,延袤于元、明、清,是中华文化的传播与传承的主要媒介。然而由于年代久远以及保存技术的局限,这些典籍或是已成吉光片羽,或是已万不存一,散落于海内外图书馆与博物馆。大众难以接触到这些珍贵典籍,学者研究使用也多有不便。为使这些久已绝版而又传世孤罕的古籍善本能够化身千古,在妥善保护的同时又能为学界所应用、
China’s engravings began in the early Tang Dynasty, into the Five Dynasties, flourished in the two Song Dynasty, Yan extension of the Yuan, Ming and Qing, is the main medium for the spread and transmission of Chinese culture. However, due to the age-old and the preservation of technical limitations, these ancient books have become Ji-gil, or have never been absent, scattered in libraries and museums both at home and abroad. The public is hard to come into contact with these precious books, and scholars have also had more inconveniences in their studies. In order to make these ancient books that have long been out of print and handed down to the world and survive the ages, they can be used by the academic community while properly protected,
