1937年11月,中共中央在华北建立了晋察冀抗日革命根据地。为了适应战争发展的需要,在无设备、无厂房、无技术的特殊环境下,工农红军以随军修械所为基础逐步建立起自己的军事工业。通过不断探索、创新,在较短时间内,先后研制成功硫酸、无烟药、纸雷管、高级炸药等现代军火化工产品,完成了火炸药技术从无到有、从生疏到熟练、从依赖敌军到自给自足的局面,为抗日战争的胜利奠定了物质基础。
