The author describes a new species of Boldoria s.str.(Jeannel)Ghidini(Coleoptera.Catopidae),collected in a cave located on Mount Pizzocolo(LombardyBrescia).Its affinities with Boldoria(s.str.)viallii Pavan,which isolate the two speciesfrom all the other Boldoria today known.are carefully tasted too.After a brief de-scription of the cave.habitat of the new species,some ecological considerations on genusBoldoria follow:they result from the observation of the actual distribution and stateof life of the species already known.
