Ultravioletradiation (UV) -induced DNA damage is an important factor in the development of skin cancer. In skin cancer cells, it has been found that specific genes that regulate cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis appear to be mutated to UV damage. According to the different UV wavelengths in sunlight, it can be divided into three types: UVA, UVB and UVC. UVB is the leading type of DNA damage. It has been confirmed that some protooncogenes and tumor suppressor genes are mutated due to DNA damage caused by ultraviolet rays. UV-induced skin cancer is a complex process that involves many changes at the cellular and molecular level, as well as DNA repair.
