The IODP 327 exploration voyage is an important part of long-term multiple observation experiments conducted on the ODP 168 and IODP 301 vocations. The main objectives are: to evaluate the hydrogeological characteristics (transport and storage) within the oceanic crust; to measure the flow path and its distribution in an active hydrological system ; Establish fluid circulation, changes and geological microbial processes; and determine the anisotropy of earthquakes and hydrology (Figure 1).
