新疆化工设计研究院成立于1958年,隶属自治区化学工业厅。位于乌鲁木齐长江路南端,与火车站毗邻。交通方便,地理位置优越。化工院现有职工151人,其中高级工程师38人,工程师67人,初级技术人员46人,固定资产总额498万元。院本部占地面积5990m~2,设有勘察、设计、研究等生产科室及计划经营部、技术经济部、财务科、党政办等管理部门。新疆化工产品质量监督检验站,新疆化工信息站,新疆化工环保监测站均挂靠化工院。设计室配有化工工艺、设备、热工、暖通、给排水、自控仪表、电气电讯、建筑结构、总图运输,概预算、技术经济、工程地质、工程测量、环境保护、分析化验、技术情报、计算机应用等专业。实验工厂占地面积9338m~2,除承担中试任务
