新的世纪,经济全球化趋势增强,国际竞争更加激烈。面对全方位、多层次、宽领域对外开放,发展开放型经济以及我国即将加入世界贸易组织的形势,如果我们没有一大批在国际、国内市场叫得响的名牌产品,要想在日趋激烈的国际竞争中取胜是不可能的。我国国民经济和社会发展第十个五年计划纲要明确指出:“通过上市、兼并、联合、重组等形式,形成一批拥有著名品牌和自主知识产权、主业突出、核心能力强的大公司和企业集团,提高产业集中度和产品开发能力。”实现《纲要》所提出的要求,也需要我们加快推进名牌战略的实施和“中国名牌产品”的评价和认定,推动名牌战略向新的更高层次上发展,尽快形成代表我国最高质量水平的名牌产品和企业集团,有效应对日趋激烈的竞争,真正实现市场多元化和“走出去”的开放战略。
