党的十七届五中全会10月18日在北京胜利闭幕。这次全会的一个重要议程是审议通过了《中共中央关于制定国民经济和社会发展第十二个五年规划的建议》。站在两个五年规划时空交替点上,我国发展仍处于可以大有作为的重要战略机遇期。全会及其审议通过的《建议》,必将激励全党和全国人民在新的发展起点上,更加奋发有为地推进改革开放和社会主义现代化建设。
The Fifth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee concluded its victory in Beijing on October 18. An important agenda for this plenary meeting is the review and approval of the “Proposal of the CPC Central Committee for Formulating the 12th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development.” Standing on the turning point of time and space between the two five-year plans, our country’s development is still at an important strategic opportunity that can make a great deal of accomplishments. The Plenary Session and the “Proposals” passed by the review will surely inspire the entire party and people across the country to work more energetically and vigorously on the new starting point for their reform and for the socialist modernization drive.
