While a firewall can effectively protect the company’s network from outside attacks, most firewalls do not prevent potential abuse by internal employees of the network, such as spying on private accounts, reading sports news on web pages during business hours, and even sending outrageous Email, download yellow images and more. AbirNet’s SessionWall-3 effectively stops such obstructive (and in some sense, illegal) things by detecting user abuse, alerting administrators, and stopping the activity. However, before adding SessionWall-3 to the security tool library, administrators may also need to wait for some enhancements, which are expected to be included in an improved version of this summer.
