中国音乐家协会成立半个世纪以来,在以吕骥同志为首的老一辈音乐家的领导下,坚持为人民服务的正确方向,发扬革命音乐的光荣传统,为我们的工作打下了坚实的基础。改革开放以来,中国音协的工作又有了新的进步,进入新世纪、新阶段以来,我们国家的经济蓬勃发展,快速增长,2005年GDP总量增长了9.9%,达到了18231亿元人民币,外汇储备达到了8189亿美元,我国的社会生产力、综合国力、人民的生活水平有了大幅度提高,我们国家在世界上的地位更加突出,更加重要,影响也更大了。在这种新的形势下,我们中国音协的工作也有了长足的进步,我们国家的音乐生活呈现出空前繁荣火热的新局面。
