Objective To understand the influenza awareness and vaccination status of migrant workers in Shanghai and its influencing factors. Methods Quota sampling was carried out in four factories in Minhang, Xuhui, Pudong and Putuo in Shanghai. 2371 migrant workers were randomly surveyed. Understand their flu awareness and vaccination rates, and analyze their relationship to gender, age, education level, monthly income, and factory size. Results The highest flu prevalence rate (more than 50% of the respondents answered the question) was only 2.1% of the total and the flu vaccination rate was 34.4%. The age (OR = 1.049, 95% CI = 1.015-1.0883) (OR = 0.964, 95% CI = 0.952-0.975) and factory size (OR = 1.192, 95% CI = 1.087-1.308) ) Had an impact on the vaccination rate, P <0.001. The main reason for not having a flu vaccine is that workers do not know about a flu vaccine. Conclusions The survey results show that migrant workers in Shanghai generally have a low awareness of influenza and a low vaccination rate. They need to step up education and publicity on migrant workers’ knowledge of flu and other infectious diseases in order to improve the prevention and control of influenza and other infectious diseases s level.
