广东省交通厅重点科研项目《公路桥梁管理系统》于1992年12月25日在广州通过专家技术鉴定。该项目由广东省交通科学研究所主持,西南交通大学、广东省公路管理局协作研究。《公路桥梁管理系统》针对目前桥梁养护和管理中的实际状况,在国内外桥梁养护管理中首次应用人工智能专家系统等技术,成功地研究开发了由“桥梁数据库管理系统”、“桥梁损伤等级评估及对策专家系统”和“钢筋混凝土梁桥承载能力检算专家系统”组成的综合性桥
