Modern immunology immunostaining, immunization and monoclonal antibody technology has been widely used in the development and function of the inner ear, basic research and some special studies of pathological processes, such as hereditary deafness and idiopathic progressive binaural sensorineural Deaf (autoimmune disease). These techniques require inner ear tissue as an antigen extractor. Although the human inner ear tissue is a very ideal material, its source is difficult and the supply is insufficient. Although typical experimental mammals such as rabbits, mice, cats or guinea pigs are available, each animal provides only a limited amount of tissue. In order to obtain a suitable and sufficient amount of membranous inner ear tissue, bovine temporal bone and inner ear tissue has been used. This article reports the techniques of obtaining and dissecting bovine temporal bone and the preparation and preservation of bovine inner ear antigen.
