This paper investigates the collection and conservation of cycads in the George Brown-Darwin Botanic Garden in Australia. The findings show that the Botanical Garden is one of the major distribution areas for wild cycads in the world. Therefore, With its advantages in plant resources, more than 70 Cycas and Zemjae cycads have been collected and planted and more than 600 Cycas plant species have been collected. The botanical garden was established 15 years ago and is dominated by native cycads from Australia and a small amount of cycads from China and other countries. The botanical garden has become an important habitat and protected area for rare cycads in Australia under the efforts of the entire staff of botanic gardens and other scientific and technical personnel. This paper studies and analyzes the technical characteristics and advantages of the botanical garden in the collection, cultivation and management of cycads. At the same time, some suggestions are put forward. This study has theoretical significance and practical value for botanical gardens in the collection and ex-situ conservation of rare plant resources.
