Fifteen years ago, two historians and scholars who created the history of the Chinese Communist Party issued a new article entitled “The Review of the Week.” This article fully expounded the historical contribution of the “Weekly Review” to the spread of Marxist theory, the propaganda of socialism, and the advocacy of the workers’ movement Evaluation. However, it is regrettable that the article was in the light of the circumstances and that it is a taboo to deny Dai Jitao, the founder and chief contributor of The Weekly Commentary. Dai Jitao is one of the first advanced intellectuals in China that embraced and disseminated Marxism. This paper argues that Dai Jitao initiated the development of the Chinese workers ’movement. In the course of promoting the combination of Marxist theory and the Chinese workers’ movement
